The BōT RōP Project
The BōT RōP Project
My name is Miller Johnston and I finished college
in 2012 with a Consumer Behavior degree. The only problem was, I had no
idea what I wanted to do. The normal 9 to 5 cubicle job bored me to
death and dreaded that route. I have always been creative with an
engineer type mind, but never thought about being an entrepreneur. I
have been on the water my whole life and have always loved water sports.
My family has always had a boat dock, boat, and jet ski. I love both of
those activities. Therefore, I combined my love for water and
entrepreneurship and THE BōT RōP PROJECT came to be.
So,
I was walking around the boat moorings one day and starting looking at
all the different and crazy ways people were tying up their boats.
Then I stopped, and started picturing a can that sits inside the dock
with a nautical rope inside. Then i figured the snap hook would be
easeir than tying knots around a cleat, and the retractable marine rope
came in the picture for efficiency. And I said "fine, let's make a boat
rope where everyone will be content in tying up, there's no need to turn
this into rocket science." So, I got a sketch book and started drawing
the nautical rope and canister you see on my "About Page." I then, got
ahold of some CAD drawers here in town and THE BŌT RŌP PROJECT was
alive!
